Brief description of the plant:
Although the Reishi mushroom and the almond mushroom belong to different mushroom families, both exhibit characteristic growth on wood or humus-rich soils. The Reishi mushroom (Family: Ganodermataceae) forms flat, lacquer-like, glossy fruiting bodies with a reddish-brown to purplish surface and grows primarily on dead deciduous wood in Asia, Europe, and North America. The Almond mushroom (Family: Agaricaceae), on the other hand, is a classic gilled mushroom with a light brown cap, closely spaced gills, and a pleasant almond-like scent. It is native to Brazil but is now cultivated worldwide. While Reishi mushroom is known for its hard, woody texture, the Almond mushroom is characterized by its soft, edible flesh. Both mushrooms share a long history of use in traditional mushroom cultures as well as their adaptability to different climate zones.

Special features:
The Reishi mushroom is one of the few that have a naturally glossy, almost resinous surface—so distinctive that it was described in ancient East Asian texts as a symbol of longevity and spiritual endurance. The Almond mushroom, on the other hand, possesses an extraordinary characteristic: its distinctive almond aroma is produced by naturally occurring aromatic compounds that remain stable even during drying. In traditional mycology, it was therefore considered an “aromatic mushroom” that stands out both in taste and sensory experience—a true natural phenomenon among the gilled mushrooms.

History and traditional significance of the two mushrooms

The Reishi mushroom and the Almond mushroom have a long tradition in various regions of the world. In East Asia, reishi has been regarded as a symbol of vitality for centuries and was frequently mentioned in historical sources as a culturally significant mushroom. The Almond mushroom was traditionally valued as an edible mushroom in Brazil and later cultivated in Japan, where it received special attention due to its aroma and hardiness. Both mushrooms represent diversity, nature-based use, and a long history in traditional mycology.

Why use it as a tincture?

The tincture concentrates soluble plant compounds and makes them available for longer. Alcohol serves as an extractant and preservative and has the great advantage of extracting water- and fat-soluble ingredients from the plant. These, in turn, are absorbed quickly and directly through the mucous membranes—ideal even with limited absorption. An alcohol-free version often cannot extract this range of substances in the same way.

Product information: Ingredients of the drops

Organic alcohol (80% vol.)
Alpine spring water
Alcoholic extract from Reishi mushroom powder.
Aqueous mineral extract obtained after calcination of the plant components used.

Once the plant minerals (i.e. mineral extract) have been added to the alcohol extract, the alcohol content of the finished tincture is reduced to 65% vol.

Recommended serving size: Application & Dosage

Take 30 drops twice daily, diluted in a little water (150 ml)
OR mix the full daily dose of 60 drops in approx. 500 ml of water and drink it throughout the day
50 ml contains approximately 1,100 drops.

Tip: Take diluted with a glass of water (approx. 150 ml) about half an hour after a meal.

The recommended daily intake (60 drops) contains an alcoholic extract of 210 mg of Reishi almond mushroom, with mineral extract obtained via calcination.
