Purple clover, often called "meadow clover", is a wild herb belonging to the legume family.
The distribution of purple clover stretches from Europe to Asian countries. The plant is also native to our country. Especially in sparse forests, on meadows and pathsides, the red clover is often found. In many countries, including China and the countries of Eastern Europe, the red clover is cultivated due to increasing demand.
The plant is a typical herbaceous plant with a maximum growth height of 70 cm. Meadow clover has a very deep root that can reach down two meters into the ground. A remarkable characteristic of its leaves is the white spot in the middle of the leaf. They are always arranged in groups of three and four leaves at once is very rarely seen. Lady's mantle is a herbaceous plant that grows perennially and gets about 50cm high. Characteristic for the plant are the crystal clear drops coming out of the leaves - they are called "guttation drops". The flowers are close next t each other and yellowish to green coloured.

The common yarrow belongs to the composite family. Therefore, it is for example related to the dandelion or arnica.
There is no information about the exact origin of the plant, but it can be found worldwide - mainly in large parts of Europe, northern Asia and the USA. In these countries it can be found growing naturally almost everywhere, as it is a quite adaptive plant.
Yarrow is a perennial plant that grows up to 60 to 140 cm. Its rootstock is very big and can reach a length of one meter. The stem is very sturdy and its leaves look like feathers. Depending on the type of yarrow, the flowers bloom in different colors - but the common yarrow has white flowers.

The passion flower belongs to the passion flower family, which includes more than 530 types, as well as cultivated varieties.
Almost all species of passionflower are native to North, Central, and South America. However, there are also species native to Australia, Asia and Madagascar - but the plant is not found growing naturally in Europe. They prefer to grow in bright, sunny places with moist soil.
Passion flowers are perennial, herbaceous or woody, and grow mostly as climbing plants, rarely as shrubs or trees. The height of growth can differ from 50 cm to 4 meters. Their stem leaves are alternate and stemmed, but vary depending on the type. The flowers of the passion flower are very eye-catching and are composed of several petals. If the flowers are pollinated, the edible passion fruits are developed, which botanically belong to the berries.
Why the passion flower got its name? In Christianity, its flowers are a sign of the Passion of Christ because of their appearance.
