Brief description of the plants:
The five plants in this combination come from different botanical families and combine tropical rhizome plants with the powerful wild flora of Central Europe and the distinctive root strength of South African savannas. Turmeric and ginger (Family: Zingiberaceae) are perennial, herbaceous plants with aromatic rhizomes, narrow leaves, and striking inflorescences; they are native to South and Southeast Asia and are now found worldwide. Ground elder (Fam.: Apiaceae) is a typical Central European wild herb with trifoliate leaves and white umbel flowers that prefers to grow in partially shaded locations. The stinging nettle (Family: Urticaceae) is a robust perennial with characteristic stinging hairs and serrated leaves, widely distributed in Europe and Asia. Devil’s claw (Family: Pedaliaceae), on the other hand, originates from the dry regions of southern Africa and forms long, branched storage roots as well as creeping shoots with striking, purple flowers. What all these plants have in common is their remarkable adaptability, while their differences—from tropical rhizomes to native leafy herbs to African roots—result in a fascinating botanical diversity.

Special features:
Turmeric traditionally dyes fabrics and foods a deep yellow—an effect that has been utilized for centuries. Ginger belongs botanically to the lily family and forms aromatic rhizomes that were already traded in ancient times. Ground elder was so widespread in the Middle Ages that it is mentioned as a “gardener’s plague” in monastic chronicles. The stinging nettle has tiny silica tips on its stinging hairs that function like microscopic hypodermic needles. Devil’s claw, on the other hand, disperses its seeds via hook-like fruits that anchor themselves in the fur of passing animals—an impressive survival strategy.

History and traditional significance of the plants

Turmeric and ginger have a centuries-old tradition in Asian botany and were valued both as spices and as useful plants. Ground elder and stinging nettle have always been part of the Central European herbal tradition and were collected for their hardiness and versatility. Devil’s claw originates from South African botany, where its distinctive root has long been considered a valuable crop. Together, these plants symbolize diversity, deep roots, and a long history in the use of herbs and roots.

Why use it as a tincture?

The tincture concentrates soluble plant compounds and makes them available for longer. Alcohol serves as an extractant and preservative and has the great advantage of extracting water- and fat-soluble ingredients from the plant. These, in turn, are absorbed quickly and directly through the mucous membranes—ideal even with limited absorption. An alcohol-free version often cannot extract this range of substances in the same way.

Alcoholic extracts from organic turmeric, organic ginger, organic ground elder, organic stinging nettle, and organic Devil’s claw.
Aqueous mineral extract obtained after calcination of the plant components used.

Once the plant minerals (i.e. mineral extract) have been added to the alcohol extract, the alcohol content of the finished tincture is reduced to 65% vol.

Recommended dosage: Application & Dosage

Bewegung Pur Tincture 100ml, ORGANIC: 25 drops 3 times daily (take diluted with water)
Devil’s claw Tincture 50ml, ORGANIC: 12 drops 3 times daily (take diluted with water)
Note: The specified amount differs from the recommended dosage indicated on the label.
100 ml contains approximately 2200 drops.

Tip: Hold the drops in your mouth for a few moments before swallowing.

The recommended daily intake contains an alcoholic extract of 215 mg organic Turmeric root, 135 mg of organic ginger root, 130 mg of organic ground elder, 115 mg of organic stinging nettle root, 40 mg of organic horsetail, and 408 mg of organic Devil’s claw, with mineral extract obtained via calcination.

Important information about this food supplement

Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
Keep out of reach of small children.
Store in a dry place away from direct light. This also applies to bottles that have already been opened. A dark cupboard is best for storage.
A natural sediment may form. In this case, give the tincture a quick shake before taking it.
