Why use Monk’s pepper as an alcoholic tincture?

The tincture concentrates soluble plant compounds and makes them available for a longer period of time. Alcohol serves as both an extractant and a preservative and has the major advantage of extracting water- and fat-soluble compounds from the plant. These, in turn, are absorbed quickly and directly through the mucous membranes—ideal even in cases of impaired absorption. An alcohol-free version often cannot extract this range of compounds in the same way.

Organic alcohol (80% vol.)
Spring water from ‘Kuppler brunn’, 9372 Eberstein, AUT
Alcoholic extract of Monk’s pepper.
Aqueous mineral extract obtained after calcination of the plant parts used from Monk’s pepper.

Once the plant minerals (i.e. mineral extract) have been added to the alcohol extract, the alcohol content of the finished tincture is reduced to 65% vol.

Monk’s pepper Tincture: Usage & Dosage

Take 30 drops twice daily, diluted in a little water (150 ml)
OR add 60 drops to 500 ml of water and drink throughout the day
100 ml contains approximately 2200 drops.

Tip: Hold the drops in your mouth for a few moments before swallowing.

The recommended daily intake (60 drops) contains an alcoholic extract of approximately 410 mg of Monk’s pepper with a mineral extract obtained via calcination.
