Description
Purple clover, often called "meadow clover", is a wild herb belonging to the legume family.
The distribution of red clover stretches from Europe to Asian countries. The plant is also native to our country. Especially in sparse forests, on meadows and pathsides, the purple clover is often found. In many countries, including China and the countries of Eastern Europe, the red clover is cultivated due to increasing demand.
The plant is a typical herbaceous plant with a maximum growth height of 70 cm. Meadow clover has a very deep root that can reach down two meters into the ground. A remarkable characteristic of the leaves of the purple clover is the white spot in the middle of the leaf. They are always arranged in groups of three and four leaves at once is very rarely seen.
The flowers of the clover are round-shaped and purple in color.
